What is the difference in performance of Lucite Crosslinked Acrylic Sheet VS Non Crosslinked PMMA Acrylic Sheet

Lucite Crosslinked Acrylic is a superior material for bath production due to its long term gloss finish. The crosslinking process involves the addition of a special monomer which creates links between the molecules of acrylic polymer, resulting in sheets that are highly resistant to scratches and abrasions. This gloss finish is further enhanced by the fact that it also provides greater UV stability than noncrosslinked PMMA acrylic sheets by far. This means that it can withstand exposure to sunlight without experiencing discoloration or fading, allowing products made from Lucite Crosslinked Acrylic to look vibrant and attractive for longer periods of time.

Additionally, this material has superior hardness and chemical resistance compared to non-crosslinked PMMA acrylics so it won’t be affected by harsh cleaners or chemicals often used in bath production.

As a result, products made with Lucite Crosslinked Acrylic can maintain their glossy finish longer than those made with non-crosslinked acrylics.  All these factors combined make Lucite Crosslinked Acrylic the ideal choice for any bath production project needing a long term gloss finish.
